INDEPENDENT DESIGNER & ART DIRECTOR · NEW YORK

Brands with character. From identity to space.

I develop visual identities for hospitality and lifestyle brands, connecting typography and illustration with the places, objects, and experiences people encounter.

Approach

FROM THE IDEA TO THE FINISHED WORK
01

Find the character.

I work directly with owners to understand the place they want to create. That conversation sets the direction for a visual identity with a point of view of its own.

02

Build the language.

Type, illustration, color, and materials work together. The same thinking connects a menu in your hands, a sign across the street, and a wall that defines the room.

03

Carry it through.

Art direction continues into production. I work with fabricators, printers, and on-site teams on the details that give an idea its physical form, with hands-on making where the project calls for it.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK

A designer’s eye.
An artist’s hand.

I’m Guy Mizrachy, a New York-based designer and art director originally from Jerusalem. Since 2010, my independent practice has connected brand identity, illustration, and environmental design.

I work directly with owners, from the first visual direction through to the details of print, packaging, and space. My experience brings together design development, hands-on making, and collaboration with suppliers, fabricators, and construction teams.

Alongside my design practice, I run Mekomi, creating bespoke artworks that trace the relationships between cities, personal histories, and place.
